To mark World Cancer Day, Sarah Ferguson has opened up about her two cancer diagnoses over the past few years and how it impacted her relationship with her family.

In a video posted on Instagram, Fergie said: "I was diagnosed with breast cancer and then later on I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma.
"I was trying to get my head around exactly whether I was going to see my grandchildren, whether I was going to see my children, and this is why I am so delighted to have found Zoul.
Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34, have rallied around their mother over the past few years following her health issues
The Duchess of York, 65, is also a hands-on grandmother to August, Ernest, Wolfie, Sienna and Athena, who was born just two weeks ago.
Fergie captioned her Instagram video: "World Cancer Day — A Warm Invitation. Dear friends, I’m inviting you to join us for a free guided meditation for stress relief, rejuvenation, and self-care.
"This is a gentle space where you can reconnect with yourself and experience the incredible wisdom of your mind and body.
"Led by Zoul app’s master teacher—a Clinical Hypnotherapist, meditation leader, and PhD in self-efficacy—this session is for everyone, whether you’re seeking inner peace or just a moment to breathe."
The Duchess continued: "Together, let’s reflect, release, and renew. Stay tuned for the place and time. All for free.
"In the meantime, start with free relaxation audios in the Zoul app. I’m looking forward to seeing you there."
Prince Andrew's ex-wife has continued to plug the Zoul app on social media, claiming it is extremely helpful for those diagnosed with cancer.
Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, followed by skin cancer in 2024.
The Duchess of York had a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery in June 2023 to treat breast cancer.
In addition, as of March 2024, the Duchess of York has been told that her skin cancer has not spread, though she will need to have regular checkups.
